Fees: Seminar Locations: May 26th and 27th will be held at the Gymnasium of Chinatown Community Center at 719 8th Ave S Seattle, WA 98104. (Community Center Garage parking available at $4) Interpreter: Master Yijiao Hong Additional information: May 24 (Thursday evening): a seminar for anyone who is at beginning or intermediate levels of Chen style Taichi. May 25 (Friday evening): a lecture that will be greatly beneficial and precious opportunity for all Taichi practitioners regardless your style and level. Grandmaster Chen will use his 50 years of training, teaching internationally and experience researching Taichi to enlighten your Taichi practice. His vision on how to master Taichi will inspire you for the rest of your life. May 26 (Saturday): a seminar for Chen Taichi practitioners who are learning or already learned Chen Old Frame One. Old Frame One is the most important foundational Chen Taichi form. May 27 (Sunday): a seminar for those who have already learned Chen Old Frame One and know some push hands. Old Frame One, Old Frame Two, and Push hands will be reviewed. Grandmaster Chen will teach the Long Pole Form step-by-step with detailed practical applications. Long poles 3 meters in length will be available for purchase on the day of. May 28 (Monday): a seminar for advanced students or instructors who have already learned Old Frame One and Two. Classes start Jan 12, 2012. Please call 206-275-7609 to register. Chen Style Taichi Silk Reeling (Old Frame): Tuesday 7:05PM - 8:05PM, at CWTA school headquarters in Chinatown. Classes start October 9, 2012. What to expect: Sifu Hong will give in-depth, step-by-step instruction on authentic Yang Taichi form movements and Qigong warm-ups from Traditional Chinese Medicine, using the latest in physical learning science. Sifu Hong will also explain how Taichi originated from ancient Chinese philosophy and Chinese medicine. This class will emphasize the skills of self-centering, body relaxation, and slow breathing while practicing form movements. You can expect increased flexibility, leg strength, coordination, and balance, as well as learning to be relaxed in an energetic way.
